The Book

Well I have this large flap of skin now left on my tummy - its huge.
Its gross and it hangs down like 10-15cm .

Its a bad side effect of weight loss and it will never disappear without surgery. Surgery will cost me about 10 grand. So ive decided to write a book on weight loss, both factual and my personal experience.

Once ive done that Ill sell it on Trademe repeatedly until i make enough money to cover the cost of the operation.
By the time I get to my goal weight I will be about 70-80kg lighter than i started. Thats a serious weight loss.

Anyway thats my idea - might take some time lol.

Wow! 70-80kg! That's a lot of weight! I'm on a similar mission, but mine is in the 50kg range, which is still a lot. I'm on the very slow plan. :-) I'm shooting for about 0.9kg/week, or about 2 lbs for the next 50 weeks or so. The goal is 1 year, 100 lbs (45.5kg).

So far, so good. I've made significant lifestyle changes (food quantities, exercise, spiritual).

As for the spiritual part, it has nothing to do with a god or anything. Instead, it's embracing the moment and realizing that once I've established the plan, I only need follow it for this moment, and this moment only. There are no worries about the future, or about past mistakes. There is only now.

The interesting thing about it is that it has made the first 5 or 6 weeks incredibly easy and I've dropped about 10kg so far. I exercise at least 4x/week and I really want to.

I'm interested in your book. It's always interesting to read about someone's journey and to use it as a source of encouragement and hope.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now that I've found you, I'll stop by daily to see what you have written.

Ive been loosing about 1-2kg a week, about 2-5lb. It varies a fair bit depending on fluid retention but it all averages out to about just over 1kg a week.

Good for you making the choice, thats like the first step. I think I have a link to a forum which is really been good, and helpful.
Takes the boredom out of waiting a bit :)
